Challenges of Finding the Right iPad or Google Play App

The challenge for many K-2 to teachers who have tablets in their classroom is finding the right app. Teachers get tired of playing apps and just want the ones that will work for them and are standards aligned.

Once you’ve found the right apps, you have to download them and get them onto the tablets. And sometimes kids can move the apps around depending on how you’re managing the devices. I think the easiest thing about this tool is that everything is in one place. You can see the activity of each individual student. You can also see the activities of your class. Perhaps the best thing about it is that there’s only one app to download onto your student devices. You could literally have just this one app and it would give you more than 150 apps for your students. They each can have access to the whole collection or just the specific apps that you want them to have. Now that is awesome!

As a person who has managed an iPad lab, I find the thought of one app that contains many apps very attractive. Plus, simple control for the teacher is a huge time saver.
