Loui Lord Nelson UDL in 15 minutesLoui Lord Nelson, Ph.D. is an internationally recognized educational consultant in the area of Universal Design for Learning and is the podcast host of UDL in 15 Minutes (www.theudlapproach.com/media) , heard by educators in over 25 countries. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship with CAST and Boston College and continues supporting CAST as a member of their Cadre. She wrote the best-selling book Design and Deliver: Planning and Teaching Using Universal Design for Learning (https://products.brookespublishing.com/Design-and-Deliver-P714.aspx) which was based on her work as the UDL Coordinator for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation in Columbus, Indiana from 2007 – 2012.

Since then, she has provided long-term training and workshops across the US and in nine countries including Singapore, Japan, and Belgium. Other publications include a co-authored a chapter for the book Research-based Practices for Educating Students with Intellectual Disability (https://www.crcpress.com/Handbook-of-Research-Based-Practices-for-Educating-Students-with-Intellectual/Wehmeyer-Shogren/p/book/9781138832107) titled “The role of technology in implementing universal design for learning” and a co-authored book titled, Culturally Responsive Design for English Learners: The UDL Approach (http://castpublishing.org/books-media/culturally-responsive-design-english-learners/).
